A river is mobilized and energized by an unseen force (gravity): We are mobilized and energized by the unseen Spirit of God.

A river is powerful: We have access to infinite power through Jesus Christ.

A river is not man-made: We are not dependent on our own abilities to build God’s church.

A river has its source from above: We are continually filled by God with everything we need in order to be what He has called us to be.

A river is filled with pure water: We are called to have the pure water of God’s Word abiding in us.

A river carries water to low places: We are called to carry God’s Word to poor and needy souls.

A river sustains life: We have eternal, abundant life in Christ, and offer eternal, abundant life to the lifeless.

A river is part of an interconnected, global network: We are interconnected in the worldwide body of Christ.
